This boy of ours...

Griffin has become quite the escape artist! He loves to be outside and he will find a way to get there if we aren't watching!

He has learned to open the front door so if we forget to dead bolt it he is out the door!

He has learned to open the garage to house door and I have found him many a times playing with his tractors on the garage floor.

Well the other day I was spray painting in the garage so I lifted the garage door about four to six inches. Griffin was playing with his cars on the garage floor so I went back and forth making dinner. LJ came by and saw Griffin with his head underneath the garage door trying to wiggle his way thru. I specifically left the garage door open just a little so air could come but not enough for Griffin to crawl under. If there is a few inches between him and the great outdoors you can bet your credit card he is going to try and figure a way to get out there!

On another note. Joe took this picture! I changed it to the sephia tone to give it more of a timeless look.

Pictures of everyone...

Aunt Heather sent Griffin up some really cute outfits! This is him in his Vroom outfit. Joe thinks he looks like a little German boy, I think he is cute!

Joe borrowed a four wheeler over the weekend to aerate the lawn, so of course we took it out for a ride. Griffin loved it!

Griffin loves to wear the berry spinner on his head like a helmet. He is always climbing up and down that stairs with it on. Just too darn cute for words. It is always a great place to store his matchbox cars!

Reflections of a mother...

Yesterday was Mother's Day and I am so grateful I finally got the opportunity to be a mother! As most of you know Joe and I tried for about two years to conceive our first child, Griffin. It was a very frustrating time for both of us.

We both are so blessed to have such a wonderful, happy little boy!

Motherhood is not easy and it is the hardest endeavor I have started. For the rest of my life I am going to be Griffin's mother. What a wonderful feeling and at the same time a very daunting task.

I wrote a little poem about my journey as a mother. This only reflects on my memories so far...

I am grateful for poopy diapers because it means my child has a healthy digestive tract.

I am grateful for nights my baby can't sleep because it gives me the opportunity to give him comfort.

I am grateful for his tiny hands that get into everything because it means my toddler is learning.

I am grateful my son throws tantrums in the store because it means he is gaining his independence.

I am grateful my son runs all over the place and makes a huge mess because it means I have someone to clean up after and watch over.

I am grateful my son loves to spend time with his dad because it means I can have some quiet time to myself.

I am grateful when my son gives me kisses because it means he loves me...

Griffin truly is my greatest treasure and I am eternally grateful Heavenly Father sent him to Joe and I.

Perfect Photo

I did it! I was able to capture the pure feeling of joy Griffin has while he is outside playing! His mouth is all dirty because he just ate some dirt. He is just running down the street enjoying his playtime!

You know you are tired when...

You know you have had a really long day when you fall asleep at the dinner table!!!

Griffin just came in from his nightly outside play ritual. We went for a walk over to Grandpa's new office to see what Dad was up to. When we got back he was ready to eat. However, after eating two of his orange slices he just fell asleep!

Night night Griffin we love you!

Hardworking Handsome Husband and Father

Joe came home from work today, Saturday, for a quick lunch break. Just had to get the camera out to snap a picture of my handsome husband!

He has been spraying trim for one his jobs all day. I should have gotten an up close and personal picture of his eyelashes. They are sooooooo long and I am soooooo jealous! The white paint really magnified them. Griffin is lucky to have inherited this trait from is handsome hardworking father!

Week with Grandma Wells

For the past week Grandma Wells came up and spent some time with us. Griffin had so much fun and really got to know her. They had fun playing outside, shopping at Toys R Us, and reading books.

Griffin loves to be outside. One of his favorite places is by the window well. He loves to drop rocks into the well. He even will try and climb in!

Here is our little guy all ready for bed. Grandma was making him laugh and we were lucky to catch his cute smile on camera! Here is my attempt at an artsy type photo. I am trying to learn more about photography so I guess ya'll will see how I do.

Griffin LOVES to be outside

Griffin loves to be outside! The other night we went for a walk down the street. He was having so much fun pushing his truck down the street. He is super fast.

Griffin loves to be outside so much all we have to say is the word "outside" and he starts getting excited. He will look for his shoes, walk to the hall closet to get his coat and then once he is all bundled up he stands by the door hitting it and squeeling to be let outside!

He has a hard time coming in, but calms down after a few minutes.

Griffin got a little tired so I had to push him down the street a little ways. Don't worry it didn't last long.

So as of today our house is up on the market. We have been so busy packing, decluttering, and staging our house. This isn't the greatest picture but this is how I set our dining room table. Kind of fun! I wish it looked like this all the time.

I know I need to iron the table runner, but I had to set it up first to see if I would even like it.

Just a close up of the set. The chargers are a deep burgandy~ Forgot to take a picture of the wonderful faux wall that Joe did. Will do that next time!

Wish us luck with our house on the market.

I really hope I can keep the house clean enough for showings.

We have one more weekend until the first official showing so I've got to get busy with the deep cleaning!

Sunday Nature Walk & Some Miscellaneous Musings

Sunday we all went for a very nice early spring walk. We took some pictures with our new camera and a fabulous time with each other!

Griffin rode in his back pack and enjoyed seeing all the dogs in the park. We even came across this owl!

With our new camera we were able to take a fun video of Griffin!

Griffin is walking all over and he has a really cute laugh which we captured here:

The sad news is our new camera didn't work with the computer so it went back to Costco. I love the pictures it took and all the features but it was too frustrating. We haven't decided if we will be updating our digital camera just yet, we are thinking maybe a video camera would be fun! We will see.

We also were able to capture the owl in flight. Kind of fun!

Thanks for stopping by!
