Super Hero's

Griffin and LJ were super hero's last night.  They fought all the bad guys in the front yard and then came in to duke it out with one another.

It was very entertaining to watch these two jump around and fight each other.  Griffin is going to be so lonely when LJ leaves.  LJ is so good to wrestle with him and teach him how to play Nintendo.

LJ and his new four wheeler

LJ finally got his four wheeler. The past couple weeks all we could do and talk about was four wheeler's! He finally found one he liked on Ebay and had it shipped from California. He is so happy with this purchase it just makes me smile because he is so happy!
He came in today and said,
LJ:"Tabby you said you wanted me to pose for some photo's well I've got a great opportunity for you"
Me: "Really?"
LJ: "Yes come and take some pictures of me on the four wheeler over in the circle."
Me: "Okay."
A few minutes pass and LJ comes running inside.
LJ:"Tabby you said we were going to take pictures I am waiting for you. The sun is going down and I want pictures in the day light!"
Me: "Oh, I didn't realize you wanted to do it right now."
LJ: "Well duh."

Had to get a picture of his pure concentration while on the four wheeler. He was sticking his tongue out a lot during our mock photo shoot! LOL

So everyone can enjoy the beauty of the four wheeler we had to get a close up of, you guessed it, the four wheeler! LOL
This is our favorite picture. It was also one of the pictures I turned in for my lighting photography assignment. This would be an example of side lighting.

Lazy Summer Nights

For the last few nights we have all been hanging out in the front yard. Griffin loves to ride his trike up and down the driveway and he is very good about not going in the street unless someone is with him. In the above picture Griffin was trying to follow Joe and LJ to the back yard but I think he realized it is really hard to pedal through the grass!

However, that doesn't stop him from scooting his trike wherever he goes. Yesterday we loaded up the car to make a run to Costco. Griffin lifted his trike up into the van and then said he was ready to go. I had a hard time explaining to him that you can't take your trike into Costco.

Joe and LJ like to ride their skateboards over jumps and up and down the driveway. LJ usually rides my bike up and down the street and Griffin will follow him around. We also go for walks around the neighborhood together.

The weather is just perfect at night. It is warm but cool at the same time. The only real complaint I have; is the mosquito's! We all get attacked as soon as the garage door goes up. Bug spray seems to help but there are still a few real pesky mosquito's that penetrate through the layers of bug spray!

Here is Joe in one of the rare moments he actually sits down.

Griffin loves to drink my Coke Zero. I put it on the ledge and he pulled his trike over so he could get it.

LJ has been so cooperative with my picture shoots. I always ask before I snap his picture and I've been able to get some really good pictures of him.

This is my favorite picture of LJ, ever! He just looks so relaxed and happy. Usually in his pictures he does some kind of goofy smile...but I told him to relax and look at me so I could get a quick picture.

Of course at the end of the night we all had to stop and enjoy the sunset. The beauty of it wasn't really captured by the photo but I am proud of myself for capturing the colors of the sunset!

Christmas 2008

Griffin got a red rider inch worm from Grandma Sherry. He had fun scooting across the floor.

Santa brought Griffin a space train set. It glows in the dark, not that he cares.
When I first got Griffin out of bed I told him that Santa came. He looked at me and said "where is he". He was very disappointed when we went out to the living room and Santa was not there. I had to explain that Santa had to visit everyone so he couldn't stay but he left some toys for him. It didn't take him long to warm up to that idea.Santa also left this really cool helicopter. Griffin has been hauling it all over the house.
My mom got Joe a remote control car. Griffin and him played with it for awhile on Christmas day. Griffin loved chasing it around. There is an airplane that goes on top of the car and then shoots off. I think Griffin got a hold of it and broke some of the wings, but it still flies so now we just need to make sure to keep it up, or else it will get dissected.
LJ had a FANTASTIC Christmas. He told me. My mom, Heather, Nate, Joe, and I all chipped in and got him an X-Box. He thought that was pretty cool and he wasn't expecting it. He is also wearing a new jacket he got from mom. He said it is definitely a winter jacket b/c it keeps him so warm. Dad and Julie got him a quesadilla maker. LJ said it works really good!

And here is me post surgery. I had a good Christmas. My mom, Heather, Nate, and Joe all chipped in and got me a Cricut!! I was very excited. I haven't hooked it up yet but Joe said he would help me once he gets to feeling better.

Pictures and Friends

Everyone always says they have a hard time getting a good picture of LJ. He doesn't like to have his picture taken...but for me he is usually okay with it. This particular picture turned out pretty good.

LJ just buzzed his hair off. He told me it was too hot and he likes it short.Griffin loves when LJ comes over. He didn't really like him at first but now he always snuggles right up close.

LJ and Griffin are both fascinated with this flying helicopter. Every time LJ comes over he says "Tabby where is the helicopter, where is the helicopter, I've got to fly it" He said he found one from somewhere and was going to buy one for himself. We will see...I told him he could come over anytime and fly ours.

Idaho Falls trip

Recently, we traveled to Idaho Falls so Joe could hit a powder day at Jackson hole. On the way down we had to go through Island Park which had a ton-o-snow. Joe was in heaven. We all wanted to snatch a snowmobile that was parked out front and ride away through the nice fluffy snow.

LJ's favorite place to stop on the way to Idaho Falls is the Island Park Subway. He love to order the feast made with tons of extra banana peppers. All he talked about the whole was down was how he had to stop at the Island Park Subway to get his feast. So of course we had to take pictures.

On the way home from our weekend get away we spotted this very strange ice sculpture just outside of Ennis. We don't know what it is but thought it would be fun to share. We were going to take a picture of it on the way down, however we were driving through white out conditions and who wants to see a picture of just blowing snow?
